An incredibly pretty 18ct gold Georgian old mine cut diamond ring dating to the Regency period circa 1810.
A small ring with exquisite detailing it is crafted in bright buttery yellow gold and set with 3 tiny old cut diamonds in beautiful bright cut daisy settings. The oval shaped face is accented in turret shaped cut outs with scalloped edges and symbols of rams horns are engraved on the shoulders.
The ring isn't stamped with a recognisable hallmark, it is stamped ''7 8' inside and we have acid tested and verified it at 18ct gold purity. This is a delicate ring in a very small finger size (H/UK, 4/US) so is only suitable as a pinky or midi ring as it stands.
The ring is in very good antique condition in keeping with age with the diamonds secure in the settings. There is thinning to the band but the ring is still perfectly suitable for careful wear. We have priced this piece conservatively bearing in mind its delicacy and tiny size. It is a good candidate for sizing larger within reason if you were willing to invest in it.
