A superb large 15 carat Scottish citrine graces this 9ct gold Victorian bar brooch that can be worn as an outstanding antique cravat or stock pin.
The golden lemon natural citrine is square cushion cut and beautifully faceted. It is mounted in a gold square setting with tall triangular prongs decorated in a rope trim flanked by a knife edge bar with gold bead ends. The elegant high open crown setting showcases the citrine to perfection and adds even more sparkle to the beautiful gemstone. The traditional name for these quartz stones that are found in the Scottish mountains is "Cairngorms" and they include amethysts as well as citrines.
High quality and beautifully made the brooch is in top notch condition and has a heavy duty steel pin back with plenty of room behind to gather fabric. An exquisite example of elegant Victorian Scottish jewellery, good for the gents or the ladies!
