A wonderful antique Victorian figural brooch fashioned as a bumble bee.
Crafted in sterling silver with a three-dimensional body and beautiful detailing, the wings, abdomen and head, as well as the 6 curving legs are so realistically modelled you would think he was about to fly off!! This antique brooch is utterly charming and with being hollow and rather delicate, a rare survivor!
The Victorians loved naturalistic jewellery and the bee was firm favourite, much admired for its dogged industriousness and loyalty. A lovely antique silver accent accessory, full of symbolism and good for the gents or the ladies!

CONDITION: in good condition with surface wear in keeping with age and the pin back in good order. One of his legs is a bit squished and short which really just adds to his antique charm!
