Celebrate ancient craftsmanship with this fantastic Peruvian Tumi pendant, depicting Inti, the Inca Sun God, and crafted in rich 950 silver—a purer, higher grade than standard sterling (925). The Tumi, an iconic ceremonial knife and national symbol of Peru, has long been associated with protection, prosperity, and good fortune.
A substantial and beautifully made piece, this pendant is finely hand-worked and richly inlaid with semi-precious gemstones. Inti wears an impressive, wide semi-circular open headdress decorated with intricate silver wirework forming sun rays and figure-of-eight motifs, centred by a semi-circle cabochon of raw amethyst.
His body features colourful mosaic-style tiles of red carnelian, blue lapis lazuli, green malachite, purple amethyst, and white mother-of-pearl, while a large carved freshwater pearl forms the classic semi-circular knife blade below. The piece is topped with a bold, fan-shaped bale accented in black enamel.
