Circa 1970, a beautifully crafted chunky sterling silver Victorian style curb chain bracelet with a large heart padlock clasp. The thick links on this vintage bracelet are solid, not hollow and they are stamped throughout with the British lion passant for sterling, a sign of high quality.
The bracelet is weighty and substantial with a large padlock, no key is required for the padlock, the clasp simply pushes in at the nub to open and locks closed with a satisfying snap. It has the added benefit of its original safety chain.
An absolute classic watch chain style silver bracelet that will never go out of style. During the sentimental Victorian era these bracelets were often given to a sweetheart and they became a popular and enduring engagement gift.

HALLMARKS: Bracelet. lion passant throughout the links and stamped with leopards head for London and date letter 't' 1974 along with makers mark 'R&Co.' The padlock is stamped 'anchor' for Birmingham, lion passant, date letter 'B' for 1975 and makers mark 'PBC'
CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition with minimal wear and the clasp in perfect working order.
