A beautiful vintage 9ct gold locket and serpentine chain in absolutely lovely condition showing little sign of use or wear.
Fully hallmarked the locket has a flat profile when viewed from the side. It is engraved on the front in a very pretty floral and fern pattern with the back having a satin brushed gold finish.
The locket opens to reveal a single fixed picture ring, fabric liner and clear plastic photo cover. The locket opens and closes tightly, with a satisfying click, to protect your precious keepsakes.
The serpentine link chain is sturdy with a decent weight and not thin and flimsy. It has soldered end rings and fastens with a simple bolt ring clasp that is in perfect working order and holds securely.
MATERIALS: 9ct yellow gold, throughout.
MEASUREMENTS: Locket 1-1/2" tall and 1" wide (approx. 40x25mm) with a depth of 5mm. Chain 17-1/2" (44cm) long, 2mm wide.
WEIGHT: Locket 3.4 grams, chain 3.4 grams (total 6.8 grams).
HALLMARKS: Locket '375', 'triangle' import stamp for Birmingham, date letter 'S' for 1992 and makers mark 'MM' on bail. Chain stamped '9C' on clasp.
CONDITION: Excellent and super quality! The locket is thick gauge gold, not thin and tinny and the chain is a durable weight, free of kinks and lies perfectly flat.
