This fabulous sterling silver ingot pendant is hallmarked for 1978 and a great piece of original statement jewellery, an absolute classic of the era and it comes with the original handmade long chunky Belcher chain.
The pendant has a full set of oversized English hallmarks on the front which is an integral part of the design. These bullion bar pendants typically came in 1/2 ounce (15g) and 1 ounce (30g) sizes and were created to coincide with the silver jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 1978 and quickly became very fashionable in Britain!
The ingot is the 1/2 ounce size, it has its original large oval bale and it suspends from a top quality Belcher chain that is handmade and is the perfect length for layering with your neck mess or wearing alone as a statement piece. Fabulously retro, a stylish accessory that can be worn by a man or a woman.
MATERIALS: sterling silver throughout
HALLMARKS: ingot 'anchor' for Birmingham, 'lion passant' for sterling, date latter 'D' for 1978, makers mark 'P&RB', chain stamped 'sterling'
WEIGHT: 21.8 grams total
MEASUREMENTS: ingot 2" (5cm) measured with bale, 5/8" (1.8cm) wide, 3mm thick. Chain 22-1/2" (57cm) long

CONDITION: Excellent! Beautifully polished with minimal light surface wear commensurate with age. The bale is sturdy, as is the chain, all links free flowing and the clasp in perfect working order, fantastic piece ready to be worn straight out the box.
