An amazing gents 9ct gold design-lead intaglio ring bearing good clear hallmarks for the year 1973. The substantial heavy gauge gold setting is a subtle rose/red colour and it is crafted in a bold 3-dimensional rugged brutalist design.
The ring showcases a beautifully carved semi translucent carnelian intaglio of a Roman soldier. The intaglio is a glowing orangey red and a large size so along with all the gold real estate this ring provides fantastic finger coverage. This handsome masculine piece is a classic 1970s showboating ring that will get you noticed!

MEASUREMENTS: The face of the ring measures 1-1/8" high (2.8cm) sloping to 3/4" (2cm) at the shoulders and a 3.5mm band at the back.

HALLMARKS: Stamped inside the band '9-375' , anchor for Birmingham, date letter 'V' for 1973. Also stamped with maker mark 'C&W'
CONDITION: in very, very good vintage condition with minimal surface wear, no chips or nicks to the gemstone and no wearing thin of the gold
