This wonderfully detailed English hallmarked sterling silver locket pendant is inspired by Art Nouveau design and is as beautiful as it is unique!
The locket is a fairly large size and features a cut out openwork front, rather like a vinaigrette. Applied raised motifs in bright polished silver against a stippled and oxidised (blackened) background add to the elaborate detail that just pops! This gorgeous open fronted design along with a pillowed/puffy profile gives the locket a 3-dimensional appearance that is both unusual and very attractive.
The locket opens from the side to reveal 2 fairly deep compartments with stiff black satin liners inside. There is lots of room for photos or other precious keepsakes that you may want to keep inside and it has fixed picture frames so photos simply tuck behind them to keep them in place. The locket has a fan-shaped fluted bale and it suspends from a high quality sterling silver cable chain that also has an antiqued finish.
Wonderfully tactile with a gorgeous antiqued patina this locket necklace is lovely condition with minimal wear. The hinge in perfect order with the locket closing with a solid snap. Please see the photos and excuse the odd dark reflections.
