A fine Italian 18ct yellow gold vintage Miraculous Mary pendant/charm engraved on both sides in different images of Mary. One side is signed 'AP' for Adolphe Penin the famous French engraver .
This is a tiny pendant with the medal part only measuring 10mm in diameter and it is lightweight and delicate weighing just 0.7 grams. The pendant has a generous oval bale and suspends from a 9ct gold diamond cut curb chain. The pendant is 3/4" (2cm) tall measured with the bale
The pendant is hallmarked on the bale but it is obscured and we can only make out 'VI' for Vicenza in Italy. We have acid tested and verified that it is solid 18ct gold. The very fine curb chain is 16" (40cm) and 0.5mm wide and is stamped '375' for 9ct gold. The pendant and chain weigh 1.1 grams combined.
In very good vintage condition with light surface scratching consistent with age/use and the engraving still nice and crisp. A very sweet spiritual piece bestowing love and guidance, great for layering or adding to a gold charm bracelet, it would make a lovely caring gift too.
