Embrace your inner Frida Kahlo in this marvelous pair of vintage Mexican sterling silver butterfly earrings. Beautifully modelled they are packed with lovely detailing down to the adorable antennae on the heads and veining, silver bead accents and tiny turquoise cabochons decorating the wings.
Far from being mass produced these lovely earrings were craftsman made in the silver workshops in Taxco, Mexico. They are 1-1/8" (2.7cm) tall and 1" (2.5cm) wide and they have sterling silver screw back fasteners which are typical of the period.
A beautiful pair of 1940s figural earrings, iconic of the era they just might bring out the creative artistry in you!
