Inspired by a rich Norse history and the designs of Alexander Richie this beautifully detailed little sterling silver brooch depicts a Viking long ship in all her glory. Made locally made by silversmiths in the Shetland Islands it bears good clear Edinburgh hallmarks for the year 1970.
Super quality and heavy for size the brooch has a sturdy pin back with a rollover clasp and is in excellent vintage condition with minimal wear.
Equally at home on the tie, lapel or cravat and good for the gents or the ladies this is an adorable piece for the collector of Scottish or Scandinavian silver jewellery, or just a perfect little treat for yourself!
