A beautiful vintage Victorian revival silver hinged bangle with full hallmarks for Birmingham 1964.
Nice and wide and lovely quality the front is engraved in a very attractive pattern with pansies, daisies and trailing vines with the back left plain. A beautiful floral feminine design that has been popular since Victorian times when these classic bracelets made for popular gifts for sweethearts and brides. They were often personalized with engraved names on the plain back or inside.
The bracelet is crafted on the oval for comfort and it has an engraved push in heavy duty button clasp along with a safety chain. The silver is thick gauge, not thin and tinny, and it is wonderful condition with no dents or dings and the hinge and clasp in perfect working order closing with a solid snap.

MATERIALS: sterling silver
HALLMARKS: stamped on the back, 'lion passant' for sterling, 'anchor' for Birmingham, date letter 'P' for 1964. Also, stamped with 'L & Co' for E Lilley and Co. This is a makers mark often misidentified as Liberty and Co. which it isn't. Stamped on the front 'lion passant', date letter 'P' and 'sterling silver'
MEASUREMENTS: the bracelet measures 7" (18cm) around the inside and 5/8" (1.7cm) wide
