Circa 1890 this antique black leather brooch box just oozes Victorian charm with its deep profile and gold tooled Greek Key lid. Made of wood and lined in royal blue velvet and sky blue satin in has an elevated sloping jewellery pad with tab to display a cherished brooch to its best advantage. Perfect for safe storage, display and a fab photography prop too.
The box measures 2-3/8"/6cm square and 1-1/4"/3cm deep. In moderately good antique condition with age appropriate surface wear, scratches and fading to the leather, some discoloration on the inside. The push button closure works perfectly. Please refer to the photos as they form a good part of the description and note the brooch shown is not included.
