This magnificent antique British Arts & Crafts statement ring dates to the early 20th century, circa 1920–30, and is beautifully hand-wrought in sterling silver. Crafted in the romantic, nature-inspired style that defines the British Arts & Crafts movement, it showcases an impressive 17.5-carat rose quartz cabochon with a soft, ethereal translucence and delicate blush-pink hue.
The substantial gemstone has been cut as a generously proportioned high-domed oval cabochon and is securely housed within a deep sterling silver bezel. Flowing seamlessly from the setting, the broad openwork shoulders are adorned with elegant scrolling tendrils forming an organic floral design—a classic expression of the Arts & Crafts movement's celebration of nature, individuality, and handcrafted beauty.
Exceptionally bold for an antique ring, it possesses a wonderfully sculptural presence and offers impressive finger coverage. The combination of its oversized rose quartz cabochon, substantial silver mount, and handcrafted detailing gives it an unmistakable artistic character, making it an outstanding example of British Arts & Crafts jewellery.
Rose quartz has long been regarded as the stone of love and compassion. Often called the gemstone of the heart, it has traditionally been associated with tenderness, harmony, and emotional warmth. According to old folklore, it may even help the wearer look a little younger—we'll let you decide!
