Stamped in the British 'lozenge' mark which were used for jewellery designs registered between 1842 and 1883 this beautiful antique Victorian Scottish sterling silver brooch is set in tiles of Montrose grey lace agate and a orange paste (glass) citrine.
Known locally in Scotland as a "Cairngorm", the glowing citrine is mounted in a tall crown style setting and framed in grey and white banded agates. The brooch is crafted in an oval shape with a cross motif in the centre. Decorative engraved line and zig-zag patterns in the silver accent the traditional stones.
The brooch is finished in a sturdy extra long pin back, a lovely accent accessory good for the ladies or the gents!
