Oozing Victorian sentiment and character this antique belt & buckle bangle is solidly crafted in sterling silver and fully hallmarked for the year 1882. The belt's infinite loop and secure buckle was a popular symbol of eternal love and commitment in the Victorian era.
Crafted on the oval this is a quality piece. The large belt and buckle along the front is fashioned in bold dimensional detail and accented in silver beads. The bangle has rolled edges along the top and bottom for added strength and comfort, it is hinged on one side and has a secure box clasp on the other.

MEASUREMENTS: 1-1/8" (2.8cm) wide, inside circumference 6-3/4" (17cm) worn close fitting it is probably better suited to a slimmer wrist. Internal measurements are 1-3/4" (4.4cm) front to back and 2-1/4" (5.8cm) side to side
HALLMARKS: stamped inside front 'lion passant' for sterling, 'anchor' for Birmingham, date letter gothic 'h' for 1882, and makers mark 'J.Bros.' Stamped on the back 'lion passant' and letter 'h'

CONDITION: In very good antique condition showing light surface wear and a few tiny dents, all minor and expected. The hinge is nice and solid and the clasp secure.
