This very sweet antique two sided watch key fob pendant acid tests as 15-18ct solid gold throughout with the watch winder tube lined in a base metal to strengthen it.
Hailing from the Georgian/early Victorian period the gold is carved in a pretty floral and foliate pattern, typical of the era, and it has a deep forest green bloodstone on one side and a dark red carnelian agate stone on the other. The top swivels so you can wear it with either side facing. Its diminutive size and charming decoration suggests this key was for a lady's pocket and it would have been worn as a piece of jewellery.
