This quality antique 935 silver little crescent moon brooch is set with sparkling white French paste "diamonds" and is beautifully detailed. A symbolic jewel traditionally given to brides in the 19th & early 20th centuries crescent moon brooches became a custom and were widely known as "honeymoon" brooches. Crescent moons were thought to be harbingers of fertility so perhaps this is why they became so popular!
