A stunning antique Arts & Crafts silver carnelian ring dating to around 1910.
Crafted in sterling silver the flowing openwork basket setting presents typical Arts and Crafts design with scrolling tendrils and four-petal flowers, all inspired by nature. The ring boasts a very high domed profile providing impressive finger coverage and it showcases the most mouthwatering juicy orange Scottish carnelian in a wonderfully plump egg shape. This Scottish gemstone is radiant and perfect, please excuse the tiny loose thread on the stone that shows up in the video!

GEMSTONES: Presidium tested carnelian measuring 20x10mm
RING SIZE: UK size N-1/2, US size 7, sizing available for an additional fee
MEASUREMENTS: the face of the ring measures 1" (2.8cm) tall, 5/8" wide, shoulders 12mm. The ring profile 10.5mm from the finger and the band is very slim at 1.7mm wide
HALLMARK: stamped 'SILVER' an older British mark for sterling and hand etched 'K5/2' which is probably a workshop mark
ERA: Edwardian, circa 1910
WEIGHT: 6.4 grams.
CONDITION: In very good condition with light surface wear and usual signs of an antique age in the silver. The carnelian is flaw free and securely set, please see the photos and disregard the loose thread. We apologise for any golden spots in the silver, they are reflections from the glossy orange carnelian.
