Exquisite antique 14 carat white gold and diamond ring accompanied an independent valuation for over $2,200.
Hailing from the Edwardian/Art Deco era circa 1915, this impressive ring immediately caught our eye with its incredible bright white sparkle. The old European cut principal diamond is claw set in a hexagonal shaped face and framed by cut outs giving the illusion of a much larger gemstone. This central stone is flanked by 2 tiny diamonds at the side adding to the overall brilliance.
Superb workmanship in bright white gold, any hint of yellow is caused by lighting. The ring sits high on the finger in a tall wire work basket atop an under gallery of scroll work that gives way to carved floral shoulders and a narrow knife edge band at the back. An exquisite ring, iconic of the era, stunning as an engagement ring, it looks divine paired with a slender platinum or white gold band.
The ring is accompanied by an independent 2017 valuation, the report is from a USA based jeweler with no connection or vested interest in our shop.
