This Georgian steel wax seal fob is a rare and handsome beauty! It is deeply engraved in a beautifully ornate Regency script with the monogrammed initials "BJ" that are intertwined with flourishes, leaves and flowers.
This one-of-a-kind fob is a must for any Georgian jewellery collection, a rare survivor of 2 centuries it would have been used to seal the wax on a letter or note and we can't help wonder what secrets lay within! We have added an oxidised steel chain so it is ready to wear right out of the box.

MEASUREMENTS: the fob measures 1-1/8" (3cm) tall and the intaglio is 1" (2.5cm) by 7/8" (2.2cm)

CONDITION: this Georgian steel wax seal fob is in fabulous condition. The intaglio is completely crisp, with no signs of wear and the entirety of the fob is sturdy. The steel has oxidised a little over time as you would expect, please see the photos. What a wonderful historic piece from the 18th century!
