Circa 1900 and hailing from the very end of the Victorian era this exquisite antique sterling silver guard chain measures a full 60" long and boasts 48 high quality round crystals in open rubbed-over settings. The lead glass crystals are beautifully cut and faceted with flat tables on the top and pointed ends on the bottom
A beautiful example of the refined and elegant Edwardian design that came after the Victorian penchant for ornate jewellery the chain has delicate rectangular shaped long links. The airy construction allow the brilliant white antique crystals to take centre stage, they catch the light with every movement and sparkle like diamonds. The necklace fastens with a silver Albert clip that swivels.
