A very pretty and feminine sterling silver Victorian "Albertina" watch chain in a versatile long length that can be wrapped around the wrist and worn as a fabulously decorative bracelet.
In the Etruscan Revival style this watch chain has round elegant rolo link chain with bead calottes. A floral engraved lozenge shaped slider charm decorates the centre. The terminals are decorated in a long foxtail tassel charm, a fancy twisted baton style T-bar and a swivel dog- clip.
A gorgeous and versatile piece of jewellery this watch chain is perfect for wear as a bracelet by fastening the dog-clip to the large silver ring and having the T-bar and tassel charm drape enticingly over the hand.
Named after Queen Victoria's husband Prince Albert, the charming Albertina is the feminine version of the Albert pocket watch chain. Albertina chains were usually much prettier with decorative features and were worn as jewellery rather than a functional piece.
A must have for the antique jewelry lover, a gorgeous classic chain and an all time favourite!

MEASUREMENTS: 10-1/4" (26cm) long measured from the end of the clip to the end of the t-bar. Wearable bracelet length (measured from the clip to the large silver ring) is 7" (18cm). Slider charm is 13x11mm, tassel charm 2" (5cm) long, T-Bar 1-1/4" (3cm), dog-clip 18x7mm

HALLMARKS: none, have acid tested several components to confirm that it is sterling throughout.

CONDITION: this Victorian Albertina is in excellent condition with surface wear and signs of age as you might expect in an antique piece but nothing untoward. The clip in perfect working order fastening securely.
