This beautiful vintage Edwardian style sterling silver locket looks to have never been used or even worn.
The front of the locket is engraved in a lovely flower motif with fern flourishes against a dotted background with the back left plain. This is a 'family' style locket with stations for 4 photos, it opens from the side to reveal the photo compartments with clear plastic covers, the middle two are hinged and fold out for access.
The locket suspends from a fine sterling silver curb chain that has a spring ring clasp. A lovely locket all around in a fairly large size so it will fit photos of about 1" tall in the larger sized stations.
MATERIALS: Sterling silver locket and chain.
MEASUREMENTS: The locket measures 1-1/2" (4cm) high including the bale and 1" (2.5cm) wide, the chain is 17-3/4" (45cm).
WEIGHT: 6.7 grams, total
HALLMARKS: Locket stamped '925' on bale, chain stamped '925'
CONDITION: excellent, no signs of wear and the locket snapping tightly closed
