Made in Scotland and evoking the colours and textures of the wild and craggy Scottish highland landscape perfectly this vintage sterling silver brooch is set with a glowing orange paste citrine framed by slices of natural local agates.
Known in locally in Scotland as a "Cairngorm", the glowing citrine is mounted in a tall crown style setting and bordered by crescent shaped slices of earthy agates. Decorative engraved line and zig-zag patterns in the silver accent the lovely stones.
Stamped 'SCOTLAND' and 'SILVER' on the reverse the brooch benefits from a sturdy pin back with a roll over clasp.
A wonderful vintage traditional Scottish dress brooch, good for the gents or the ladies, and highly collectible too!
