This stunning vintage sterling silver locket necklace hails from the 1970's and is beautiful quality as you would expect in an Andreas Daub piece. The company was established in Pforzheim, Germany in 1872 and their high quality antique and vintage pieces are sought after.
Art Nouveau in style, the locket has a beautiful quatrefoil/clover outline and is embossed back and front in an ornate poinsettia and ribbon design with an engraved linear starburst background. It has a hinge at the bottom and opens from the top. Inside there are two stations for photos along with the original silver picture rings, hard plastic covers and paper liners. The locket is in remarkably pristine condition showing no signs of wear or use and it suspends from a fine sterling silver cable chain that has flat cut links which adds a lovely extra sparkle.
An absolutely gorgeous 50+ year old locket in an unusual shape from a desirable maker and ready to wear or give as a gift. The silver looks to have been rhodium plated so this piece will resist tarnish and retain this beautiful bright white appearance. Note any dark spots are reflections.
