Superb quality, as you would expect, this vintage Harrods of London hinged bangle is beautifully crafted in heavy gauge sterling silver and bears full British hallmarks 1971.
The bangle is carved all the way around in a beautiful raised Tudor rose floral pattern against an oxidised textured background. It is very much in the Art Nouveau style that enjoyed a revival in the 1970s. The Tudor rose (sometimes called the Union rose) is the traditional floral heraldic emblem of England and takes its name and origins from the House of Tudor founded in 1485. The final ruler of the House of Tudor was Elizabeth 1st.
The bangle is double walled with a D-profile and crafted on the oval for comfort. It has an ridged push button hidden clasp and a silver safety chain adding to the lovely decoration. It is stamped on the inside 'Excalibur' for Excalibur Jewellery of Hatton Garden, London, a company that made jewellery exclusively for Harrods of London.
The bracelet is in wonderful vintage condition and beautifully polished with no dents or dings and the hinge and clasp in perfect working order closing with a solid snap. Please see the photos.

MEASUREMENTS: the bracelet measures 5/8" (2.2cm) wide and 7" (18cm) around the inside
