A rare and adorable vintage lucky "touch wud" sterling silver figural cat pendant charm necklace.
The cat, from Nuvo's range of "Touch Wood for luck" charms, is one of the harder to find models. Made around 1960 it is packed full of little details with a bow around her neck and a wooden body. She suspends from a new high quality sterling silver curb chain so this little darling is ready to wear right out of the box.
Solidly made despite it's miniature size, a charming quality piece, perfect for a thoughtful gift and madly collectible! Touch wood charms have been popular since World War One, they are thought to bring luck when you touch them so perhaps when you wear this pendant the same fate will befall you!

HALLMARKS: stamped 'NUVO' in a double diamond shape on the pendant base, chain stamped '925' on tag
DATE: mid century circa 1960
CONDITION: in very good vintage condition. There is light tarnish and surface scratching as to be expected from a vintage item.
