This exquisitely designed warm 9ct yellow gold antique necklace gets its inspiration from the elegant the lariat Y-necklaces and lavaliers of the period. It features a striking pendant drop topped in stunning 1.50 carat cushion cut bright pink ruby that connects to the pendant with a long rectangular bar. The circular openwork pendant is fashioned in a slightly domed trellis design with a central juicy red Bohemian garnet that is framed with 4 more vivid pink rubies and 4 tiny seed pearls that are set into gold trillium flower motifs. Strong solid link chains connect to each side of the principal ruby emphasizing this gorgeous gemstone even more!
This beautiful necklace dates to the early 1900's so it's a transitional piece, Victorian to Edwardian. With her delicacy of design she perfectly shows the refined style of the emerging Edwardian era, that age of elegance!
