A beautifully feminine late Georgian to early Victorian opal cluster ring, crafted in rich 9ct gold. Dating to around 1830, this charming piece embodies Regency elegance with its delicate proportions and romantic floral design.
At its centre, seven natural opal cabochons are arranged in a classic daisy cluster. Two additional opals adorn the shoulders in a graceful leaf motif. The lovely old gemstones display a lively play of colour, flashing vibrant hues of pale blue, green and orange, all enhanced by intricate gold beadwork. To finish split shoulders flow into a traditional squared band.
The band was professionally replaced in 1975 and bears London gold hallmarks from that year. This later re-shanking both guarantees the gold standard and provides structural integrity for many more years of wear — a thoughtful and quality repair.
Absolutely lovely, this dainty antique ring oozes Georgian Regency femininity and charm, she will grace any antique jewellery collection.
