Bearing Chester hallmarks for the year 1905 this beautiful antique Edwardian bangle bracelet still resides in its original fitted presentation case that bears the monogram "E.S." of the original owner.
Crafted on the oval in warm old 9ct gold the front of the bangle is set in a row of lively graduated opals and tiny mine-cut diamonds. The opals have a pretty pastel pink and blue play of colour and the little old diamonds add a lovely twinkle to the overall effect.
The bangle is narrow and dainty with a knife-edge profile, it is hinged at one side and it fastens at the other side with a push button clasp secured with a gold safety chain.
The antique bracelet box is an absolute beauty too and top quality. Drum shaped with double doors it is covered in Royal blue Morocco leather that is accented in gold tooled lines and initials. The fittings are durable gold plated steel. The doors swing open to reveal a sapphire blue satin and purple velvet fitted interior.
This exquisite Edwardian jewel evokes a world of bygone elegance and we can't help but wonder who the lucky lady 'E.S.' was. It is the perfect antique gift, whether for a loved one or a treat for yourself and as an added bonus Chester gold is collectible too. Chester assay office closed in 1962 so these historical hallmarks are always desirable!

GEMSTONES: Presidium tested and verified: 13 round opal cabochons graduating in size from 1.5mm to 4mm. 11 very small mine-cut accent diamonds (there should be 12 and a diamond is missing but they are so tiny you really don't notice).
MEASUREMENTS: best suited to a smaller wrist size it has a 7-1/4"/18.5cm inner circumference. The inner diameter from hinge to clasp is 2-1/4"/6cm. The front measures 5.25mm wide sloping to 2.1mm at the back. Safety chain 4"/6cm long
