This rare antique Georgian solid silver swivel fob pendant features 3 finely detailed family crest intaglio seal matrice and a ornate heavy duty handle at the top.
A heavy and outstanding collectable the three different sides of the seal show; a crest/coat of arms with a shield, a crest with baronet's coronet and monogram and finally a tower with the family names (or possibly motto).
Steeped in history to explore this incredible solid silver antique seal fob is a must-have for any Georgian jewellery collector. The proportionally large jump ring allows it to be suspended from a substantial necklace or watch chain that will match its stately character! DETAILS: METAL: sterling silver MEASUREMENTS: 2-1/4"/5.8cm tall including jump ring, 1"/2.5cm wide. Base 3/4"/2cm by 3/4"/1.5cm DATE: circa 1780, Georgian WEIGHT: heavy at 36.2 grams HALLMARKS: none, acid tested and confirmed sterling silver throughout CONDITION: in excellent condition given its age (nearly 250 years old!). The engravings are crisp, with a lovely patina animating each crevice and curve and each turning out a well defined impression.
