A striking pair of vintage sterling silver and turquoise earrings, designed in a bold square cluster form that beautifully echoes the classic Southwestern aesthetic.
Each earring is set with a grid of vivid turquoise cabochons, their bright blue-green tones standing out against a darkened, oxidised silver ground. A twisted rope border frames the design, adding depth and texture while enhancing the geometric symmetry.
The earrings are fitted with traditional screw-back fittings, stamped “STERLING,” and date to the mid-20th century. While unsigned, the design strongly reflects Zuni-inspired cluster or petit point work. Most likely produced as part of the Southwestern or Mexican export trade, these earrings capture the enduring appeal of Native American jewellery design while remaining accessible and wearable.
