This antique English 9ct gold ring is a charming example of Edwardian design with a beautiful old mine-cut diamond nestling in a traditional "gypsy" or star setting.
Bearing good clear hallmarks for Chester in 1903 the ring is crafted in a lovely domed band style with the little old-world diamond nestling in its bright cut guiding star. The shoulders are decorated in beautiful scrolled shell motifs carved into the gold.
A feminine and very pretty design with a real earth mined diamond, this lovely ring is an absolute classic of the Edwardian era, evoking that bygone age of elegance. It would make a charming wedding ring and is perfect for stacking with other rings. As an added bonus gold jewellery hallmarked in Chester is particularly sought after, the assay office closed in 1962 resulting in these historically hallmarked pieces becoming particularly desirable.
