A substantial antique spinning seal fob crafted in rich warm 9ct gold. Hallmarked for Chester in 1920, this piece is especially desirable to collectors, as the historic Chester assay office closed its doors forever in 1962, making these hallmarks increasingly sought after.
Statement sized, the fob is set with classic Scottish hardstone seals — a rich warm carnelian to one side and a deep forest-green bloodstone to the other. The rotating mount allows you to effortlessly change the look depending on mood or styling.
The gold mount is decorated with handsome curb-link detailing and finished with a small but substantial oval jump ring ready to attach to your favourite gold chain.
Originally designed to hang from a gentleman’s watch chain, this piece transitions beautifully into modern wear — equally striking worn as a pendant or added to a chunky antique chain.
