Very much in the Georgian style this exquisite Victorian 9ct gold pink tourmaline and pearl ring bears good clear hallmarks for Chester 1899. Chester assay office closed in 1962 so these historical hallmarks are sought after.
A true "half hoop" ring with the gemstones covering the entire finger from side this beauty gives the appearance of a full band gem-set ring when worn. The gold is a lovely warm rosy colour that is characteristic of old gold.
Numbering 4 in total the beautiful raspberry pink tourmalines are a fairly large size and flat cut in the Georgian style, they are accented at the top and bottom in rows of little seed pearls. The gemstones are closed back and nest in bezels with nipped edges adding even more to the Georgian character of this piece.
