This antique Victorian sterling silver cuff bracelet features exceptionally good hand-engraving in gorgeous sprays of Forget-Me-Nots inside diamond shaped lozenge motifs. To the Victorians Forget-Me-Not flowers represented true love and devotion so romantically engraved jewellery like this bangle were given to fiancées and brides. The bracelet is a bangle style and very wide. It is worn close fitting to the wrist and is crafted on the oval in heavy gauge silver with rolled edges at the top and bottom for comfort and added strength. It has a hinge on one side and a push button hidden shovel clasp on the other along with a silver safety chain adding to the delightful decoration. The bracelet is personalised on the inside with the name and address of the original owner: " C Jackson, 3 Fairway., Prestwick" is engraved on the inside, this beautifully decorative gem has its roots in firmly in Scotland!
