A superb pair of Victorian gold earrings set with large natural citrine gemstones.
The earrings have been converted into post backs, they would have originally had shepherd hooks. The citrines are a glowing golden yellow with a clean clarity and beautifully faceted with a flat table at the tops. The round stones are prong set in an extremely pretty high coronet 15ct gold mount with pierce work which allows the passage of light to increase the lovely sparkle.
The replacement post backs are 9ct gold and are integrated in a sympathetic conversion with the earrings still retaining their original charm. The posts have plate backs that are attached to the original bars behind the stones.
Absolutely gorgeous pair of antique Cairngorm stud earrings in November's birthstone, the beloved stone of Scotland, timeless and elegant and bound to bring joy to their new owner!
