Very much in the Edwardian style but more heavily constructed this superb vintage 1970s 9ct gold pendant is carpeted in sparkling bright white natural diamonds and has a beautiful lilac colour amethyst drop dangling from the centre. This beautiful jewel speaks of love, amethysts stand for devotion and diamonds are forever!
A quality piece the pendant is crafted in thick 9ct yellow gold in a stunning curvy scrolled open work design decorated with fine milgrain detailing. All the gemstones are open backed which allows the light to flood through adding to the beautiful sparkle. The pear cut amethyst drop is accented at the top in a fleur-de-lis motif that is set in diamonds, the drop suspends freely and has lovely movement when the pendant is worn. A generous fan-shaped fixed bale also set in diamonds finishes the pendant. The bale will happily accommodate most gold chains. Alternatively, if desired the pendant can be purchased with a new 9ct yellow gold 16" (41cm) fine curb chain as shown in the photos, the chain is stamped '375' for 9ct gold.
A gorgeous piece all round, this "forever devoted" pendant is a wonderful love token, it would make a very special gift or a precious treat for yourself!
