The locket features guilloche engraving on both sides in an attractive quilted linear & diamond pattern. The locket opens for the side to reveal 2 photo stations along with the original picture rings, black satin liners and plastic covers. There are 2 black and white photos of flapper ladies which can be replaced with your own but we will include them. The front is engraved with a copperplate monogrammed initial 'G'
The locket is stamped '9ct back & front' which means that the locket is basically 95% solid gold. The picture rings and inner rim are a gold plated hard metal which gives the soft gold added strength and durability to withstand a lot of use.
The chain is hallmarked 10K on the clasp and it has elegant round links, although this is a fine chain the links are a fairly heavy gauge so it is durable. The oval end ring on the chain is stamped 14K so the clasp is likely a replacement, the chain acid tests to 14 carat gold throughout.
Beautiful quality in tip top condition, any dark areas are camera shadow, this is a lovely antique gem all around, the perfect statement size and timeless, as wearable today as the day it was made, just gorgeous!

CONDITION: In excellent well cared for condition with only the slightest of expected surface wear. The locket hinge is in perfect order and it opens easily and closes securely with a solid snap. The picture rings are a perfect fit and very easy to flip in and out. The chain is flaw free with free flowing links
