This beautiful antique 9ct gold half hoop ring is set with five sparkling white zircon gemstones. Not to be confused with cubic zirconia which are synthetic, zircons are natural earth-mined gemstones that have long been used as diamond substitutes in antique jewellery because of their strong double refraction which can rival the brilliance of a diamond.
These lovely zircons do indeed possess all the sparkle and character of old diamonds. They are crystal clear with a very slight grey undertone in daylight, when sunlight hits them they have a very pale blue cast.
The subtly graduating gemstones sit in a perfect line covering the finger from side to side, they are safely set in a multitude of claws and are accented underneath by an elegant low profile gold scrollwork gallery.
Old world gemstones and graceful proportions result in an eye catching and feminine antique ring that oozes charm, very comfortable to wear and a great stacking ring!
