These stylish and ultra chic antique Art Deco earrings are crafted from sterling silver and feature luscious carved orbs of natural Lapis Lazuli on long bar chain links suspended from beaded screw-back tops. The precious lapis lazuli gemstones are an intense shade of medium blue with gleaming flecks of gold and silver pyrite that accentuate the striking design of the earrings. A truly remarkable pair of period earrings, high quality and they just scream Art Deco!
First patented around 1894 screw-backs offered a solution to women who preferred not to pierce their ears. Gaining popularity in the late Victorian era, the screw-back earring trend gained momentum over pierced earrings until they were the new norm by the mid-1930s.
