A magnificent statement sized Art Nouveau sterling silver lavalier pendant circa 1900.
Exquisitely hand-crafted in intricate silver cannetille work the pendant is composed in 3 sections and set with deep violet natural amethysts and cool white pearls mounted into bezels.
The ornate bale at the top is connected to the middle section by silver chains and it benefits from a large sized built in loop at the back that will happily accommodate a wide variety of chains. Not to be outdone a beautiful freshwater river pearl dangles enticingly from the bottom.
Just gorgeous and a sublime way to connect yourself with early 20th century fashion, this pendant will look incredible paired with a substantial silver chain to match her character.

GEMSTONE: Presidium tested, natural amethysts & pearls. There are 10 amethyst gemstones ranging in size from 15x12mm oval to 5mm diameter round. Estimated total carat weight approx. 13.50cts

DATE: circa 1900 Victorian/Edwardian
CONDITION: in very, very good condition with just normal wear as expected in antique jewellery. We see no damage to the intricate wirework. There is a natural patina on the surface of the silver which is typical and adds a lovely dimension to the design. The amethysts and pearls show subtle natural inclusions and are securely set.
