Circa 1900 a magnificent statement sized sterling silver gemstone-set lavalier pendant necklace, possibly an antique Austro-Hungarian piece.

Exquisitely hand-crafted in intricate cannetille work the pendant is composed in 3 sections and set with deep violet natural amethysts and cool white pearls mounted into open backed bezels. The ornate heart shaped bale at the top is connected to the middle section by silver chains and the pendant suspends from a sterling silver chain with matching oval links. A beautiful freshwater Mississippi river pearl dangles enticingly from the base of the pendant.

Just gorgeous, a sublime way to connect yourself with early 20th century fashion and ready to wear right out of the box.
