An impressive antique arts and crafts sterling silver statement ring set with a large waxy green malachite stone.
This is a large size ring on a grand scale with an exaggerated elevated profile. The wide shoulders are accented with cut out fretwork with feathering to the edges giving a frondy leaf effect. The malachite is set into a thick bezel, it is a deep emerald green with very dark green banded in a bulls eye effect.
The ring is not marked for maker and simply stamped with an early 'silver' mark inside. It is very good condition showing signs of age and wear. There is some surface wear to the stone under magnification but it is free of cracks and chips, please see photos.
The ring looks as stylish and contemporary today as it did 100 years ago, perfect for the dapper dandy and the arts and crafts jewellery collector, this ring will get you noticed!
