A beautiful buttery 15ct yellow gold, enamel and seed pearl antique Lily-of-the-Valley flower brooch. Jewellery decorated with seed pearls speak of innocence and purity, the lily-of-the-valley is a traditional wedding flower that is associated with love and motherhood. These lovely little romantic brooches that were tokens of love were often given to Victorian and Edwardian brides on their wedding day.
Super quality and finely crafted the brooch is small and delicate with the tiny pearls mounted in bright cut settings. Green enamel leaves provide a lovely contrast to the shimmering gold and white pearls. The brooch isn't marked for metal content and tests as 15ct gold throughout including the pin back. It comes in the jeweller's antique box as shown. The box is cardboard and printed "Baker's Jewel Casket, Market Place & 3, Mesnes St. Wigan. Established 1853"

CONDITION: the brooch in very, very good condition with no missing pearls and the pin back in perfect order. Note any dark spots are reflections. As expected the cardboard box shows signs of its antique age with surface wear, dirt, staining etc. nonetheless it is adorable!
