Circa 1800, this beautiful little antique Georgian 9ct gold cravat pin is set with foil backed juicy red garnets. The yellow gold repoussé work to the front of the brooch is incredibly ornate formed in flourishes and curling ribbon motifs. The reverse of the brooch is fully enclosed in gold of a warm rose colour.
In good antique condition with evidence of an old repair to the gold repousse work on the bottom of the brooch and the gold back plate looks to have been reinforced, we have priced with this in mind. The pin back is sturdy and in good working order fastening securely.
This beautiful Georgian brooch will add a touch of elegance to any outfit, fab for the dapper dandy and great for a gents formal, we did notice these little antique cravat pins making fashionable appearances at popular horse racing events last year!
