A fine quality antique Scottish silver miniature sword brooch set with carnelian, bloodstone and amethyst.

Beautifully crafted and in exquisite detail it is chased and engraved in a lovely feathered design. The sword blade is inlaid with slices of striking Scottish agates with the cut out basket handle enclosing a deep purple Cairngorm amethyst cabochon. The colours and texture of the stones evoke the wild and craggy landscape of the Highlands of Scotland perfectly!

This is a small brooch, beautifully formed and in lovely condition. It can equally be worn by a man or woman and is perfect the perfect little gift for anyone who loves Scottish culture and heritage. It would make a stylish addition to the grooms tie or lapel in a Scottish themed wedding too!

In 1852 Queen Victoria purchased Balmoral Castle and so began her love for all things Scottish. She set a fashion trend for Scottish jewellery which became highly collectable and it still remains that way today!
