A beautiful pair of antique sterling silver Art Nouveau climber earrings. The earrings attach to the lobe with screws and climb daintily up the ear, a style very much on trend now and fabulous to find them as an all original antique pair!
The earrings date to around 1910-1920, they are fashioned in a delicate repousse design depicting poppies with beautiful detailed shadow work in the recessed parts of the silver. Each earring measures 1-1/8" (3cm) tall and they weigh 4.9 grams in total. They are hallmarked 'STERLING' on the back of the screws.
In lovely antique condition, with just minimal light wear as to be expected, please see the photos. The screws work perfectly and fasten securely.
