A fantastic sterling silver antique fob chain, full of character in a hard to find style! The T-bar is inserted through a button-hole and the chain suspends on the front of the jacket or waistcoat with the fob (or watch) tucked into the pocket. Crafted in thick sterling silver the chain features "brick" style links. It currently has a silver heraldic "Prince of Wales Feathers" pendant fob (3 ostrich feathers encircled by a coronet & motto "Ich dien" meaning "I serve") attached to the dog-clip. This could be removed and replaced with your own fob, pocket watch or even a wax seal... there are endless possibilities, such a versatile piece!
This heavy high quality chain remains in very, very good condition showing just light surface wear and signs of age that you'd expect in an antique piece. The clip is in good working order fastening securely. A fabulous example of its type and a fine collectors piece. This chain is slightly too short to wear as a bracelet.

HALLMARKS: stamped 'SS' for sterling silver on the clip, worn 'sterling' mark on the T-bar. We have tested the links and pendant to confirm this is sterling throughout
